"A Robust Public Option Is Essential" - Progressive Caucus Co-Chair Rep. Grijalva Draws a Line in the Sand on Healthcare Reform

"A Robust Public Option Is Essential" - Progressive Caucus Co-Chair Rep. Grijalva Draws a Line in the Sand on Healthcare Reform: "We speak with Rep. Raul Grijalva (D-AZ), co-chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus. “We’re going to fight for it down to the very last day,” Rep. Grijalva says of the public option. “It’s got to be part of [the bill]. If it’s not, we are just showering money upon money upon the same system and the same industry that got us into the mess we’re in right now.”"

Eight Years After 9/11, Ground Zero Volunteer Dying of Lung Disease is One of Many Still Fighting for Justice

Eight Years After 9/11, Ground Zero Volunteer Dying of Lung Disease is One of Many Still Fighting for Justice: "Today marks the eighth anniversary of 9/11, with vigils being held to remember the nearly 3,000 people killed in the attacks. We look at a group of victims that are often forgotten in the September 11 narrative: the thousands of rescue workers who became sick after being exposed to contaminants at Ground Zero. Hundreds have died. We speak to Joe Picurro, a New Jersey ironworker who worked as a volunteer on the pile for twenty-eight days. He is now dying of lung disease. We also speak with Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-NY), who is co-sponsoring the 9/11 Health and Compensation Act, and Dr. Jacqueline Moline, director of the World Trade Center Medical Monitoring and Treatment Program at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine."

The War on Terrorism Hoax

The War on Terrorism Hoax: "Once the people are terrorized, you can force a police state on them.'--Mae Brussell
'If Tyranny and Oppression come to this land, it will be in the guise of fighting a foreign enemy.'----James Madison" I hope Afghanistan is not one of these false flags.

Please Cut the Crap!

Please Cut the Crap!: "Dear Mr. President:

Have you noticed that every time you're absent from the scene for even a short time, like taking a week of vacation, the health insurance reform debate gets out of hand, and more than a little nuts? There's a very good reason for this, you know; it's because this country needs leadership. We haven't had that for a while, and we're in deep trouble right now because of that. But you know that; it's why you ran for president in the first place.

I know what you're trying to do with the public. You're trying to get people fired up to participate in the system, throwing out trial balloons designed to activate certain groups. Unfortunately, that doesn't work as well as you might think. If you want to find out what people want from you, ask them. If you want people to get behind you, then show leadership. If you show strong leadership on any issue, the people will get behind you and tell you how they want you to proceed.

"We Need a Better Change in this Country" - Mother of 17-Year-Old Girl Who Died After Private Insurance Denied Claim for Liver Transplant
We speak with Hilda Sarkisyan, the mother of Nataline Sarkisyan, who died two years ago at the age of seventeen after the insurance giant CIGNA denied her claim for a liver transplant. “We need a better change in this country, and I’m willing to help the President to do that…I want to meet him. I want him to feel how it feels not to have a daughter. He has two girls; he should know,” says Hilda Sarkisyan. “If we don’t stop this now, every family is going to have my story in their family.”

Bob Cesca: The Public Option is Popular, Moral and Inexpensive, Therefore it Must Die: "The public health insurance option as defined in both the Senate HELP bill and the House bill (HR 3200) is not a far-left liberal proposal. A far-left liberal proposal would actually be a single-payer plan. The public option is actually a program supported by almost everyone, despite the misleading way it's currently being discussed by Republicans, town hall wingnuts, cable news 'smackdown' panelists and other very serious members of the Washington establishment."

AOL Radio powered by CBS Radio

AOL Radio powered by CBS Radio This is my favorite online music source. I live in an area of hills and valleys that interfer with AM and FM radio. I use to listen to Sirius Satellite radio (6 years) until my tuner shorted out. I don't want to pay another 100 dollars or more for a new tuner, so I started listening to AOL Radio on 'puter since I can't afford to leave my home because of so many medical bills for cancer chemos and operations. Music lifts my spirits a lot and is very good for me so I don't think about my growing indebtedness so much. I need to feel some hope and joy from the new pop music by young musicans and AOL Radio gives it to me anytime I need it. It's like my best friend reallly telling me not to worry and not to listen to the healthcare forums' bullshit. Don't want to get started about it now so let's tune to AOL Radio and thank AOL for this wonderful resource to relax with. Enjoy it for free!

"Republican Gomorrah: Inside the Movement that Shattered the Party": "In a Democracy Now! exclusive, award-winning journalist Max Blumenthal joins us for the first extended interview about his debut book, Republican Gomorrah: Inside the Movement that Shattered the Party. The book traces the rise of the radical right in the US and how it used the concept of personal crisis to grow as a movement and eventually capture control of the GOP to transform it from the party of Dwight Eisenhower to the party of Sarah Palin."
